Yay!

June 23rd, 2009 by trisha-wsny

So the past few days for me have been spent appreciating all the wonderful people I have in my life and how great it is to know you’re loved. At the end of the day I can sit and talk about how much I love to shop (especially for shoes) travel, etc. and admit that I’d give it all up just to spend time with my family and friends. There’s nothing better than sitting on a great patio, celebrating summer with colorful conversation. While sitting at the Polaris Grill yesterday with my parents, I was reminded of just how precious time spent with the people we love is; my sister called to confirm that after a year apart,  my brother-in-law will be back in Florida from Iraq by weeks end, and we couldn’t be more excited. Here’s to Aimee and Eddie enjoying what we take for granted everyday with the ones we love; just “being” together :) Happy Tuesday! -Trisha

Rob Thomas Rocks

June 17th, 2009 by trisha-wsny

Every once in a while an artist rolls through the studios that I absolutely HAVE to meet! Rob Thomas is on of those artists; I’ve been inspired by his music and lyrics for years and was reminded why this morning. Not only was Rob friendly, but also spot on with his acoustic performance. It’s always great to actually hear an artist live and be impressed, and I was more than impressed today. This has been a Wednesday I’m never gonna forget!! -Trisha-

Congratulations!!!

To all of our Breakfast With Rob Thomas winners, congratulations!! We look forward to enjoying breakfast and an acoustic set with Rob Thomas and you, it should be an awesome time!! Hope everybody enjoyed your weekend as much as I did! My step-daughter Blair’s graduation party was this weekend, and it was so great to celebrate all of her accomplishments; I can’t believe how fast time goes and that she’ll be a young woman leaving for college in the fall to start a  new chapter in her life. We’re all very proud of  her! Have a happy Monday :)  -Trisha

Where Has All The Talk Gone?

June 9th, 2009 by Blog Admin

Lately I’ve been thinking. Are we ever going to get back to a place in relationships where men and women actually “talk”? Nowadays everything seems to be in the form of a text or e-mail (she said as she blogged). Depending on where you’re at in the relationship those methods are fine, but I still think face-to-face is the best way to start.

Starting a connection on Facebook or My Space? Technology in some cases has become our new matchmaker. Understandable. “ He Said/She Said” has found a permanent home on the Internet as a result. Looking back however, my best connections have come sitting across from that individual, not “chatting” with a computer keyboard miles away from them.

Girls want to “see” who they might be connecting with. Even if that meeting doesn’t go well at least you’ll have a better understanding as to where you stand. Regrets are better dealt with sooner than later. Meeting face-to-face cuts to the romantic chase. Another date could be the end result, or if it doesn’t go well, then think of all the time you’ll save in future, wasted postings to that person.

No one knows with absolute certainty what the sure-fire formula is. You can only continue to try, I guess and sometimes the old school ways can prove to be some of the best.

My niece!

May 26th, 2009 by Blog Admin

You know the saying “You couldn’t have planned it better if you tried”? Well that’s exactly what I told my sister yesterday when I recieved this video gem of my cute as a button niece Celia working so hard to walk while “dream the impossible dream” was being sung in the backround at a Memorial Day concert. I had to call Aimee to point out what a priceless video she’d unknowingly created. America’s Funniest Home Videos anyone? Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Happy Tuesday!! -Trisha

Happy Memorial Day!

May 22nd, 2009 by trisha-wsny

Before I embark on a weekend of celebrating, I want to make sure to say “Thank You” to my sister Aimee, brother-in-law Eddie (currently deployed in Iraq) my father Gary, my step-mom Cheri  and the rest of you who are or have served in the military. Without you I wouldn’t be enjoying the life that I so very much appreciate and love! Enjoy YOUR weekend!! Ok, I have to admit I’m usually a “planner”; yeah, I’m one of those girls who likes to know exactly what I’m doing most of the time (OCD anyone?? haha), so that’s why this weekend, I’m going  to take a step back and fly by the seat of my pants! Let the weekend happen as it goes; with no structured plans, I feel certain I’m going to get in to some really fun trouble! Wish me luck!! Happy Unofficial Kick Off To Summer Everyone!! -Trisha-
