The Dean's List

REPLACE THIS WEEKEND'S MOVIES WITH A DVD

I'll be brief.

THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. It was bad in 1972. It's bad in 2009. Replacement DVD: THE LAST DETAIL with Jack Nicholson from 1973.

MISS MARCH. Skip this month and wait for something better in April. Replacement DVD: MISS FIRECRACKER with Holly Hunter from 1989.

RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN. Don't race to see it. The original from 1975 is still more engaging. Replacement DVD: ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN from 1975.

Despite being available on DVD some of these films may be hard to find, but the effort spent looking for them would still be time better spent.

BONUS PICKS: With Sunday being SELECTION SUNDAY for the NCAA, you might want to pick up these DVD gems to get you in the mood.
